Gemel Art Supplies Pty Ltd began in 2001 out of the desire to make great quality canvases at an affordable price. Starting as a small home based business, we were able to achieve that goal and rapidly grow into a thriving business, thanks to our many happy customers who spread the word.
In addition, we offer you the convenience of placing your order over the phone, by fax or email and arranging delivery to your door. However, you are welcome to come directly to the warehouse to put in an order, collect your order or to purchase from the available range of stock.
We are always happy to offer you assistance or answer any questions you might have in regards to our products or to discuss your needs. We are committed to providing quality assurance and customer service.

Services Offered:Customised Canvases
All sizes and shapes made to order from your choice of canvas, linen, watercolour canvas or poly/cotton.
Customised Canvas Framing
A selection of Pine, Hardwood and Synthetic Mouldings for box and float frames are now available. All mouldings are extra deep to accomodate the Heavy Duty Stretcher profile.
Stretching Artwork
We can stretch paintings, Gic'lee prints and any artwork on a flexible surface i.e fabric, vinyl etc and stretch paintings that have been removed from warped or damaged stretchers. We can even crop that painting you only like a portion of and stretch a new canvas on your old stretcher.
Delivery Service
For your convenience, Art Supplies can be delivered to your door by our own delivery service. Delivery charges apply according to distance however when possible, smaller items may be posted or couriered to you, at cost. Brands Supported/SuppliedServices continued...
Workshop
Gemel Art Supplies had several workshops per year for demostrating the use of our products. Past attendants have thoroughly enjoyed the classes, saying the hands on instruction was beneficial for them, as it saved them time and money.

Products OfferedCanvases
Gemel Canvases are made to order on the premises. Our standard canvas is 12oz 100% cotton duck canvas that is double acrylic primed in white or black.
Our heavy duty stretchers are made from kiln-dried pine, with fixed corners and appropriate bracing according to size. Our standard stretcher measures 3.5cm in profile, however, other sizes can be made on request.
