Kathy Adams of KoolKat Quilting is a passionate quilter with 20 years experience in quilt making. She decided there had to be a better way of finishing a quilt than struggling with domestic sewing machines. Hence KoolKat Quilting was born in 2003 with a Gammilll Classic long arm machine. This machine was operated by hand, and it wasn’t long before she upgraded to a Statler fully computerised machine. She now has a second Statler machine quilter and has retro-fitted her first machine with a Statler Stitcher. She also a Prodigi twelve needle industrial embroidery machine which provides individually-embroidered quilt labels that are quilted into customers’ quilts for that heirloom touch.
Kathy has quilted over 1,500 quilts for her many satisfied customers, and several have won prizes at major quilt shows and exhibitions. Kathy belongs to Queensland Quilters Inc., Toowoomba Quilters Inc. and the Australian Machine Quilting Association Inc.
Kathy now publishes a range of quilt patterns aimed at helping beginner quilters. Kathy also gives classes on request . Her love of bright and colorful fabrics is reflected in her pattern and fabric kits.

All-over Quilting KoolKat Quilting is a professional long arm machine quilting service. Our fast, efficient and dependable service ensures your peace of mind when you entrust your quilting project to Koolkat Quilting. Koolkat also provides a complimentary calico quilt bag to ensure the safe-keeping of your completed quilt.
Custom Quilting Custom quilting is when different parts of the quilt have different block and border patterns and/or stitch-in-the-ditch quilting. There are many styles of custom quilting from simple ditch stitching to complex heirloom quilting.
Brands Supported/SuppliedKoolKat Quilting uses Widebacks quality backings. We also use a range of wadding. Currently the waddings we favour include Minijumbuk NuWool wool/poly, Matilda's Own King Size wool/poly and Sew Easy Cosy 100% Cotton. We use Rasant thread in a wide range of colurs and stock some specialty threads such as King Tut.
