Handcrafters House is located in the heart of Midland, on the verge of the Swan Valley, not far from some of the best wineries in Western Australia. Handcrafters House is in a central and convenient location with excellent parking facilities, right next door to the major public transport depot, and close to the major Midland Gate Shopping Centre precinct.
Handcrafters House was opened in September 2003, when we (Norwest Craft) realised that there were not many general craft shops left in WA, opening a location in Midland seemed a great idea and wonderful opportunity to give the residents in and around the area a warm and friendly place to shop for their craft needs.
We have tried to uphold our 'General' craft shop status, although our customers have other plans for us and we have streamlined somewhat, and now carry primarily Patchwork and Quilting, Knitting, Sewing Machines & Textile products. The shop has loads of accessories and notions, plus patterns, kits, books and plenty of helpful ideas as well!
Michelle Pearson and her staff are committed to a high quality of customer service and creating a warm and friendly atmosphere to make their customers feel welcome.

Services Offered:Classes are in abundance and since opening the new, much larger store, there are even more classes on offer with varying tutors teaching plenty of different techniques.
All the classes are designed for beginners to intermediate levels. Handcrafters House teaches projects that are 100% achievable within the course timeframe, even for beginners.
On top of regular classes Michelle also holds quilting retreats four times a year at the wonderful Avalon Retreat Homestead in Toodyay. Due to the popularity of the Retreats, Michelle is looking to hold extra retreats and perhaps expand into doll making and machine embroidery projects also. |
Products OfferedHandcrafters House is also an authorised award winning Husqvarna Viking and Singer dealer. Michelle and her staff are passionate about the brand and hold classes for Foot & Embroidery Clubs as well as software classes for those who own 4D Embroidery digitising software.
Michelle and staff are also trained and qualified on the automated quilter, QBOT, and the Handi Quilter quilting system. Drop in for a demonstration any time. Pre-packed kits are available for those who lead busy lifestyles, or if you have a personal project and need fabrics and accessories, bring the project with you, and they will be glad to help you out!
