In February 2003, Kristan was given a gel-candle by a friend in Perth and after having just become engaged, it was decided that Kristan and Scott would make them for their upcoming wedding. So, we got some kits, made some really bubbly candles, kept experimenting and started to get better. We then made some more for markets and had some success at selling them at the local markets and in a couple of shops.

During 2004, the business continued to grow, more stock lines were included, Kristan and Scott sourced more suppliers and generally improved the range of supplies and pre-made candles.

The recent economic situation around Australia has really hit us hard. Scott was made redundant from his job in 2008 and then both of us had to start looking for work. In the end, we have both been forced to return to work full time just to keep our heads above water. At this stage, we will continue to operate the business as previously with a few minor changes to how things run.
