Susan Cordes of Black Swan Jewellery Creations has a background in embroidery, quilting and teaching. Her jewellery designs of stones and pearls are inspired by the oceans and outback of Australia, which Susan and her husband Mike have travelled extensively.
Using the stunning and vibrant colours of the Australian outback, Susan and Michael have been designing unique and unusual jewellery since 2005 - creating distinctive designs by sourcing beads from such countries as Austria, Czechoslovakia, USA, Bali and more.
The beads used are made from various materials including glass, agates, semi-precious stones, base metals, sterling silver, copper and lustrous freshwater pearls. All jewellery items are designed and made in our jewellery workshop in Dawesville and sold worldwide. This enables our customers to purchase unique and high quality handmade jewellery at affordable prices.
Susan is a contributing writer for Creative Beading magazine, Australian Knitting, Back to Basics and Australian Ceramics, glasswork and pottery.
