A & R Parsons Designs is proudly an Australian owned and operated family business. We have been in the doll and ceramic industry for over 35 years.

 

We have been servicing the doll making industry with our high quality doll and halfdoll molds for the past 20 years, therefore, we have the largest range of half doll molds in the world!


We produce plaster molds, soft fired porcelain greenware, fired porcelain blanks, painted dolls and half dolls.

 

Our range consists of half dolls, half doll skirts and patterns, half doll legs, piano babies, doll house dolls, shoulderhead dolls, China & Parian dolls, baby dolls, miniatures, pins & brooches,trinket & powder boxes, figurines, gothic & horror dolls, medieval dolls, all Bisque dolls, reborn dolls & kits and modern & antique reproduction dolls.

Services Offered:

Classes

We teach children & adult classes in the art of porcelain dollmaking, ceramics, acrylic painting on canvas, plastercraft, clay handbuilding & jewellery making. Class day's are Thursday's, Friday's & Saturday mornings. Class session times are: 10am to 12 noon, (Saturday's, 2pm to 4pm kids only) & 7pm to 9pm. Classes are limited to 8 children or 10 adults per class. Children's ages start from 7 to 12 years old. Cost for children's classes are: $15.00 per 2 hour session. Price includes tuition, all materials, firings, tools & brushes usage, & light refreshments. Any extra materials used over the class allowance will be charged accordingly.

  • Adult Classes in Porcelain Dollmaking & Ceramics
    • Cost: $20.00 per 2 hour session. Price includes tuition, paints, firings & light refreshments.
    • Extra costs are: tools/brushes & all materials used eg: eyes, wigs, body, assembly materials, extra paints & glazes & greenware(raw clay pieces).

Custom Moldmaking Service

Our moldmaking service is welcome to any artist/maker.

  • Rough Cast is a basic one off rough mold service for those people who just want one mold straight from the model.
  • Plaster Block & Production Rough - a plaster master block with detail or scribing & one production rough mold, for those people who want a crisp detail cast, & a mold just for themselves.
  • Rubber Master Blocks & Production - a rubber master block & case with one production mold for those people who want a high-quality mold to resell themselves.
