GENESIS - A NEW DIRECTION - Lynn Krisanski

Genesis Heat Set Oils are life changing for this artist.

I was raised on a cattle property outside a little town in the Brisbane Valley in Queensland. This left me with a deep empathy for the ‘life on the land’.

In 2005 I joined a local art group under the tutelage of Lorraine Emerson. It was like having dormant coals turned into a raging bushfire. Since then I have been learning and experimenting spending every spare moment drawing or painting.

Most of my first pieces of work were in pencil and then pastel as I could only snatch time here and there to indulge in my passion.

I always had to steer away from oils as I would have a severe reaction to the chemicals and acrylics always dried before I could get back to the painting.

On seeing one of my paintings a lady commented she could ‘smell the dust’. To me that was the greatest compliment I could have had!

I had used Genesis Oil Paints and planned to finish a commission I had to paint using house paint before I was going to dive headlong into using Genesis. A chance sighting of an ad in a magazine led me on a life changing journey. My husband and I purchased the Genesis Oil Paints Australiasian distributorship in late November last year - certainly one way to dive in! I would like to thank Peter Watts for all his help and support. I am enjoying ‘meeting’ all our clients and introducing new people to Genesis Oil Paints.

Come and have fun, join our art classes where you don't need to have previous skills. We can teach you right from the beginning or even if you're a little rusty with the brush and haven't painted recently, we can rejuvenate and update your skill levels.
