Workshops

Workshops can be conducted as private lessons for as little as 2 hours, half or one day duration. Most are around 5/6 hours a day for 2 days straight. It  can be longer if preferred. Maximum of 5 people in a workshop.

The aim is to teach students to be competent in safety aspects with equipment and to teach them to be confident and proficient in using glass to express their art.

Finally, should they desire, to help them establish their own workshop with expert advice on safety in setup with correct tools and equipment needed for such a project.

Moretti, Momka, borosilicate

Most pieces are made from borosilicate (pyrex) glass. Several are made from Effetre Moretti (soft) glass.
 

• Core vessels about 80-90 mm high. These are made based on an ancient method about 2000 years old.

• Wine glasses range from 160mm-230mm tall. He specialises in making to clients' requirements. Each glass is signed and dated which makes them collectable.

• Teapots are made from borosilicate glass and come in 1,2,4,6 cup sizes.  Each one's  freehand blown to a variety of shapes.

• Flowers are around 100-250mm long.  Each petal is individually coloured and shaped before assembled into the flower.

• Tree sculpture around 440mm high. These are coloured and shaped to form a tree. No two are the same so become unique sculptures. He makes some as candleabras with Australian birds on the branches.

These examples are only a small  range of the work he makes. Your personal requirement can be discussed.
