Bronze Pot Plant Holder

Hot Offer

Paverpol is a great way to recycle clothes making them into artefacts. Once they have been dipped into the Paverpol and dried they become weatherproof.  So they can go outside or if inside and get dusty you can hose it off.

Materials:

You will need:

  • A pair of baby jeans Size 00
  • A 13cm terra cotta pot
  • A 500gr pot of bronze Paverpol
  • A piece of plastic to lay your sculpture on
  • A plastic bag or cling wrap to put around your pot
  • A bucket of warm soapy water to wash your hands
  • An old rag to wipe your hands
  • A stirring stick

Step 1 Image Step 1:

Place your plastic on your work place. Put your terra cotta pot in the plastic bag or wrap the outside of it with cling wrap. Open your pot of bronze Paverpol and really stir it as the bronze settles on the bottom.

Step 2 Image Step 2:

Turn your jeans inside out. Dip the jeans in sections into the Paverpol and work it through as Denim is thick and does not absorb all the way through. When completely covered in Paverpol turn them the right side out.

Step 3 Image Step 3:

Dip sections of the jeans into the Paverpol and work it through. Squeeze out any excess. The jeans need to be completely covered in Paverpol. Sit your jeans onto the plastic and place the pot in the middle. Arrange the legs.

Step 4 Image Step 4:

Paverpol does not stick to plastic but you will need to lift it off your worksheet a couple of times a day for 2 days and turn the plastic over.  This will help to dry on the bottom and not form a skin. Also lift the pot and plastic out once or twice a day and turn the plastic bag that the pot is in.

Step 5 Image Step 5:

After 2 days take the pot out for a couple of hours and then put the pot back in. Do this for a couple of days it will help dry out   the bottom. Leave inside for 2 weeks to completely dry it. You may paint or spray it with an outdoor UV varnish for extra protection against the sun. Leave inside for another week.
