How to use LBDD Ribbon?

This is the most versatile ribbon you will ever work with. The unique manufacturing process allows it to be stripped into narrower widths to fit any of your crafting needs. It will even give your gift packages a very special touch.

 

Simply use any adhesive on the back of the ribbon to attach it to your project (even ordinary glue-stick will work with this ribbon).

 

it’s Printable!

 

Print a special message in any font, using your computer, your favorite word or graphics program and an inkjet or laser printer (inkjet produces the best image). Simply type your message and
print it on a standard letter-size piece of paper, then place repositionable adhesive over the printed message and place a piece of ribbon directly over the adhesive covered text. Place the ribbon covered paper back into the printer and reprint your message. Voilá! The text will now be printed perfectly on the Lip Smackin’ Ribbon and is ready to be used in your project.

 

Note: do not let the ribbon extend past the edge of the paper when reprinting your message, it may jam your printer!

 

it’s Stampable!

 

For the best stamping results, we recommend using hybrid, dye
or alcohol based inks.

 

it’s Embossable!

 

Lip Smackin’ Ribbon is made from cotton fibers so it can withstand high heat well. For the best embossing results, use a pigment ink or clear embossing ink like Versamark.

 

Use a repositionable adhesive to temporarily adhere the ribbon to a heat resistant surface and heat the embossing powder until it the image is completely embossed.

 

it’s Shredable!

 

Split the ribbon with your fingers and pull the fibers apart to shred or alter its width. For a raffia look, split the ribbon to the desired length and dampen it slightly to relax the fibers.

 

it’s Crimpable!

 

Run it through a crimping tool to create nice, crisp kinks and bends.

 

it’s Curlable!

 

Use scissors to curl it just like regular curling ribbon.

 

it’s Rubbable!

 

Use your favorite rub-ons to create a unique embellishment or special message.

 

it’s Bowable!

 

Bows made with Lip Smackin’ Ribbon hold their shape like wired ribbons, without the wire.

 

it’s Antique-able!

 

For a time worn, anitque look, wet the ribbon completely and crumple it in your hands several times. Then, rub in some complimentary or antique inks to achieve a nice vintage feel.
