White Earthenware Paper Clay
Very plastic white firing Earthenware. Good for throwing and handbuilding. Desirable clay where high plasticity is required. Bisque 05 + (1050oC). Glaze 1080-1150oC.(4% shrinkage).Good glaze fit. Compatible with various commercial clear glazes .(i.e.Cesco 5381A)

 

The addition of cellulose fibres gives this clay extreme plasticity and dry strength. Can be used as an air drying clay, or fired to normal earthenware temperatures. Underglazes and glazes should be applied after bisque (1st) firing. Shrinkage Wet - 1100c 4% *

Available as normal paper clay with recycled paper pulp, or as Gold Label Paper Clay, using a super fine white paper dust, for a very fine paper clay for throwing, turning, decoating etc.

 

 

Buff T/C Paper Clay

Good all round clay. Suitable for wheelwork and handbuilding. Good plasticity, with enough fine Grog (0.5 mm) for slabwork etc. Fires buff to teracotta depending on temp. and kiln atmosphere. Bisque 05(1050oC). Glaze (1000-1150oC). Grog -30.

White Stoneware Paper Clay
Very high quality white firing clay. Good colour response and glaze fit. White in oxidation, light grey in reduction. Suitable for raw glazing. Bisque 05(1050oC). Glaze Cone 7-10(1215-1280oC).

 

The addition of cellulose fibres gives this clay extreme plasticity and dry strength. Can be used as an air drying clay, or fired to normal stoneware temperatures. Underglazes and glazes should be applied after bisque (1st) firing. Shrinkage Wet – 1280c 10% *

White Grog S/W Paper Clay
A white Clay with large addition of fine white Grog(35%) (0.5mm). Suitable for large pots, sculptural work, tiles etc. Handbuilt or thrown. An extremely strong clay. May be fired to stoneware temperatures. Grog size -30. Suitable for raku firing.

The addition of cellulose fibres gives this clay extreme plasticity and dry strength. Can be used as an air drying clay, or kiln fired. Underglazes and glazes should be applied after bisque (1st) firing. Excellent clay for large sculptures. Shrinkage Wet – 1100 5% * Wet – 1280c 9% *

Also available as Buff Grog Paper Clay with the addition of terracotta clay.
 

Gold Label Paper Clays
Available in white earthenware, stoneware and porcelain. Made using super fine,ultra white paper dust.Can be thrown and turned like normal clay.Smooth enough for carving.

 

Paper clay is extremely strong in the unfired state which means it can be used as an air drying clay, or fired to normal clay body temperatures.
