Create, bake and assemble this set of stylish handmade jewellery in Fimo polymer clay. You'll be the envy of your friends!

  • MATERIALS:
  • Fimo Soft (White, Brilliant Blue, Mint, & Blue)
  • Roller
  • Knife
  • Hook Earrings
  • Rubber String Elastic
  • Jewellery Wire
  • Jewellery Pliers
  • Needles
  • Skewers

HOW TO:

  • Step 1: The back of Fimo blocks are segmented into strips. Mix half a block of White Fimo with half a strip of blue and roll out to approx 2mm thick. Roll out the rest of the Blue Fimo and Brilliant Blue Fimo to 2mm thick sheets on a flat surface.
  • Step 2: Cut a number of different sized circles out of all of the colours. Roll the remaining Blue Fimo and Mint Fimo into 2mm thick sheets approx 5 x 15cm. Place the Mint coloured sheet on top of the Blue one.
  • Step 3: Randomly postition the different cut out circles in various blue shades on top and roll over until you are left with a smooth circle designed surface. Cut circles out of the patterned sheet, 4 of each size.
  • Step 4: Using a thick needle, make a hole right through so later these will become beads to string elastic through.
  • Step 5: Each earring is made of 3 thin different sized circles in different shades, placed on top of each other. Before baking hard, pierce a hole through all three layers close to the top to attach the hooks later.
  • Step 6: For the necklace, make a sausage of each colour approx 20cm long and 5mm diameter. Then cut into 3mm slices.
  • Step 7: Press 2 different coloured Fimo slices on top of each other with the wire for the necklace sandwiched in the middle. Continue until decorated evenly.
  • Step 8: Place all parts in an household oven pre-heated to 130 degrees celcius. Leave to harder for 30mins, remove and allow to cool slowly.
  • Step 9: String the different sized beads for the bracelet alternately onto the elastic and tie ends together. The earrings are also attached to the hooks with elastic.
