Winter '09 - One Day Workshop Program

Simply Stunning - Charcoal on Canvas
24th June, Wednesday

Jules will show you how to use a variety of charcoal media to create a dramatic work in black and white. Whilst charcoals are traditionally used on paper, Jules enjoys the texture of canvas to create interesting effects. $60 per person includes all materials and yummy lunch 10am-2:30pm.

Ceramic Bowl - Inspired by Nature
22nd July, Wednesday

Create this gorgeous bowl (which featured on the most recent Ceramics & Pottery Magazine cover) whilst learning tips and techniques from Jules, including brush and loading advice, sgraffito and washes using underglazes. Cost $70 includes all materials, firing and yummy lunch. 9.30am-2:30pm. Ask Jules for equipment list required.

19th August, Wednesday
Cut-out Clay Lantern

Choose from several designs which will be transferred onto a clay ginger jar. We start with a wet piece, which makes for easier carving. Once cut out and cleaned the piece then needs to dry, be fired and glazed or sealed. You can arrange a time to do this at a later date, or Jules can give you instructions to finish at home if preferred. $60 per person includes all materials and yummy lunch 10am-2:30pm.
