At Manna Fine Cakes, you will never be charged more for a wedding cake, than for a cake of the same size and design if it were for another occasion. All our cakes are priced according to the ingredients and materials used, and the time involved in creating them. Kate McClure is committed to making cakes of the highest standard, without overcharging you.

Deciding on the perfect wedding cake can be quite a process! Here are a few thoughts to help you as you plan yours.

Some couples already know exactly what they are after and only need to provide a description or pic of a cake that they like and the flavour and numbers. This is great and one less thing for you to have to worry about on that big list! Please note however that Kate will not copy another cake artists work. She is more than happy to see pictures of what you like and will then sketch some ideas for you to consider and give her some feedback on, and you'll create your perfect cake together.

If you aren't yet sure of what you'd really like when it comes to your wedding cake, these ideas might help you on your search:

• Cake Flavour. (choc mud, white choc mud, caramel mud, fruit cake, classic vanilla, red velvet cake, orange and poppyseed or a gluten or dairy free cake?)
• Cakes that make you go "Wow!" A good place to start is to search the net or wedding magazines for cakes that you just love to look at.
• Your wedding dress can be a great source of inspiration for a unique cake. A picture of your dress is essential if you'd like me to work elements of it into your cake design.
• Reception Venue. If the venue you have chosen for your reception is special in it's own right then it might provide the perfect inspiration for your cake. For example, an historic ballroom provides the perfect setting for a vintage style cake and a modern, city or beach venue is the ideal backdrop to a sleek, modern style cake.
• Colour Theme. Your bouquet? Your bridesmaids dresses? The reception? Your stationery? All of these can provide great colour and style inspiration for a cake designed especially for you.
• Classic, modern or funky? Cascading flowers, Swarovski crystals or personalised figurines- or anything in between.

The process of deciding on your wedding cake is likely to involve several conversations and emails back and forth as we work together to refine a design that you are really happy with.

The cost of your cake will be determined by the number of people you are feeding, the flavour of cake that you choose, the design, and the time that it will take me to bake, carve, cover and decorate your cake.

Payment can be made by EFT directly into Kate McClure's bank account, cash or cheque (cheques made payable to Katherine McClure). A deposit of $50 is required for all wedding cakes at the time of order confirmation, and full payment is required one week before the date of the wedding.
