A one-day workshop to introduce you to the basics.
- Safety in the glass studio
- Tool & equipment familiarisation
- Cutting 6mm glass
- Making your own mould
- Two different decoration techniques
- Kiln setups
- Firing schedules.
The result:
- A set of 4 glass coasters with texture/pattern.
- Small platter with raised pattern.
It's a 'hands-on' day punctuated with instruction, demonstrations
& lots of question time. Class notes supplied.

Glass Mosaics for Beginners
Cost: $180
Max class size: 7
Includes: Materials, use of tools, class notes, tuition, lunch.
A one-day workshop to introduce you to the basics.
- Safety in the glass studio
- Tool & equipment familiarisation
- Cutting & shaping 3mm glass
- Planning a design. Colour & grout selection
- Bases & glues
- Grouting and cleaning
- Sealing & finishing
The result:
- Indoor trivet approx 15cm square (various shapes)
- Piece is completed in the day
It's a 'hands-on' day punctuated with instruction, demonstrations & lots of question time. Class notes supplied.

Advanced Slumping
Cost: $180 plus materials
Max class size: 7
Includes: use of tools, one firing, class notes, tuition, lunch.
- A one-day workshop working with art/studio glass
- Compatibility of coloured glasses
- Fusing techniques
- Dichroic Glass
- Practice /refresh cutting techniques
- The role of Multiple firings
- Preparation of ceramic moulds
- Firing guides
The Result:
- Design & prepare individual piece for fusing.
- Possible projects: Dish, Fused Panel, Glass Pendants
Each student will be allocated approx 30cm sq of kiln space.
