Fabric Collections

This section on our website is mostly devoted to collections of Reproduction Fabrics of the 1800's and early 1900's. However, not all are strictly reproductions, so please read the description of each collection on our website for more information.

Our Fabric Scans (on our website)
We have scanned most of our fabric twice. Both scans are made at 100% magnification, this means they are as close to their real size/scale as we could get them. To see the second larger scan just click on the smaller image on our website. Larger pieces of fabric are quite difficult to scan, due to a moiré effect. This means that streaky lines may appear on a fabric and sometimes split into colours, a bit like a rainbow. These streaks and colours are not visible on the actual fabric. This effect occurs more on very light and very dark fabrics, and fabrics with small scale all over patterns. Where only one scan of a fabric is available, it means the moiré effect was very bad on the larger scan and was not worth including. So we suggest you use the smaller images as a truer guide to colour and the larger images for scale (scale is more likely to increase than decrease).
