Atelier Interactive Artists' Acrylic
The world’s only professional acrylic that allows artists to work the way they want, when they want, fast or slow!
Atelier Interactive’s unique formulation allows you to develop a painting quickly, like you do with traditional acrylics, and it gives you plenty of time to blend and rework your painting wet-in-wet if desired. Now you have more creative freedom, because you control the painting process, combining wet-over-dry and wet-in-wet painting techniques… with just one brand of paint.
An acrylic that can be used for
- slow or fast techniques - Not a slow drying paint.
- Can be used just like a traditional acrylic paint straight from the tube
- Drying time can be extended by using a damp brush or a water sprayer.
- Mediums can be used to speed or slow drying but are not essential for success.
- 75 highly pigmented and lightfast colours available in 80ml tubes, 250ml jars & selected colours in 1 litre pots.
Archival Artists' Oil
Archival is the only flexible oil paint in the world and offers unsurpassed freedom of technique, fast drying time and paintings that will not crack with age.
Archival is an important innovation, because it gives artists much more freedom to paint as they want to without endangering the end result.
Most artists overpaint in oils freely these days and do not follow the “classical” rules of fat over lean. This can make traditional oils crack in the first five to ten years because of movement in the under layers. This does not happen with Archival, because the paint is flexible like acrylic paint, and the top layers are able to stretch when there is movement going on.
- The world’s only permanently flexible oil paint.
- Paintings will not crack even if classical fat over lean rules are broken. Note: In thick impasto (>10mm) it is advisable to use an addition of 50/50 smooth gel to paint.
- Fast Drying - Touch dry in 1 to 2 days.
- Archival Odourless Mediums remove health risk & unpleasant smells usually associated with oils.
- 75 highly pigmented and lightfast colours available in 40ml tubes. Selected colours available 120ml Tubes and 300ml cartridges.
Absolute Matte Artists' Hyper Gouache
Absolute Matte has a vividly, vibrantly matte surface which enhances colour.
Absolute Matte provides artists with a sturdier more user friendly alternative to traditional gouache. It is intended as a sketching paint, very free, very matte, very intense in colour with a sharp crystalline quality of its own. It is also ideal for animal or bird studies because of its capacity for detail, and usually artists who produce this sort of nature study painting are using traditional gouache and should find
Absolute Matte easier to use.
- The look and feel of Gouache with the sturdiness and flexibility of an acrylic.
- Very aesthetically pleasing for water based media effects, but has the advantage of being “overpaintable” for alterations or subtle layering effects.
- It is ideal for outdoor sketching, even in difficult dry Australian conditions.
- 30 highly pigmented and lightfast colours available in 40ml tubes and 250ml jars.
