What are the advantages of making stained glass from the overlay Decra Led and film process as opposed to the traditional method of manufacturing stained glass and leaded lights?
There are a distinct number of advantages. Because the finished panel is made up of one piece of glass instead of numerous small pieces held together with H section lead, the finished piece is much stronger, cannot buckle, and will not leak.

The overlay process can be applied to Toughened, Laminated or Security Laminated glass to meet all Australian Standards for safety against human impact and to provide a high degree of security against break ins whilst at the same time providing a most pleasing decorative effect.

Perhaps one of the biggest advantages is savings compared to the more traditional methods of making stained glass and leaded lights. The traditional method is very time consuming and therefore costly compared to Decra Led overlay method.

Can the Decra Led overlay process be made to simulate a real leadlight or decorative stained glass panel?
Yes. Although not necessary, because of the overlay process; if so desired all joints can be soldered to replicate in finest detail a real leadlight. The finish is so good that even the traditionalists have to concede that it looks great!!

Will the Decra Led & Decra Glow method stand up to light, heat, cold and rain?
Most definitely yes. These products have passed the most stringent International Industry Standards and are supplied and used in over 50 Countries around the World and will stand up to U.V. bombardment, heat, cold and wet conditions. Decra Led and Decra glow films are used extensively in the manufacture of hermetically sealed double glazed units in the U.K. Europe and United States of America where extremes of weather conditions are continually experienced.
