GENERAL
Q) You have a concept in mind and would like to know if Cakes Royale could make the cake design in mind?
A)We love new challenges. If you have a photo of a cake with a similar concept, please email it to us. Please also refer to our 'Quote Guide' page. If we can not assist, we will tell you straight up.
Q) Could you taste our cakes before ordering?
A)Absolutely! Cakes Royale is renowned for making moist cakes. We are very confident that you and your guests will enjoy the flavour and taste of our cakes.
APPOINTMENTS
Q)Do you need to schedule an appointment to have your cake made?
A) With exceptions of cakes that appear on our website, we do suggest you arrange to meet with us to go through the details of your couture cake
With reference to our Quote Guide page, we would appreciate a couple of minutes of your time to email us all necessary information before your appointment.
Q) Why is it important to send this information to us prior to your appointment?
A)This process will prepare us to ascertain designs to fit within your budget.
NOTIFICATION FOR NEW ORDERS
Q) How much notice do you need to provide Cakes Royale for your special cake to be made?
A)With the exception of Wedding cakes, we require at least 1 to 2 weeks notice. For weddings, we recommend you provide us with a minimum 2 weeks notice.
B)Intricate designs would need more notice.
C)We highly recommend you order your cake as soon as you schedule your special occasion, as this will increase your chances of securing our services.
DEPOSITS
Q) Does Cakes Royale require a deposit?
A) Yes we do. A deposit or full payment confirms your order and our services.
Deposits for Wedding cake orders;
A minimum 25% deposit is required. The remaining 75% balance is
due 14 days prior to pick up or delivery.
ELECTRONIC PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED?
We accept Visa, Master Card, PayPal or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Please contact us for more information.
CHANGES OR AMENDMENTS MADE TO ORDERS
Any change to your cake order after you have confirmed and paid the deposit will incur an additional $50 consultation fee, plus an additional 25% surcharge fee will be added to the final value of your amended cake order.
CAKE STAND HIRE
Q)Does Cakes Royale hire out cake stands?
A)Yes, we have cake stands which we hire out with your cake order. They attract a hire fee and deposit bond which covers the cost of the stand. Cake stands that are not returned in the same condition at the time of hire will result in loss of the deposit bond.
GIFT VOUCHERS
Q)You would like to purchase a gift voucher from Cake Royale. How do you go about it?
A)It is easy to purchase a gift voucher from Cakes Royale.
B)Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase date.
CANCELLATIONS
Q) For whatever reason, you would like to cancel your order. You have paid a deposit and would like to know if the deposit is refundable?
A)Deposit is not refundable.
B)Minimum two weeks cancellation notice is required.
C)Full payment of your cake order is required should you decide to cancel in the days leading up to your special occasion
DELIVERIES
Q) Where does Cakes Royale deliver to?
A)We deliver to all areas in the Sydney metropolitan area.
B)Cakes Royale will do all that is possible to assure your cake is delivered safely. We take no responsibility for damage caused during long distance deliveries.
Q) Does Cakes Royale deliver interstate or overseas?
A)We do not courier or ship cakes real cakes interstate or overseas at this point in time. We can arrange to deliver display or show cakes. Cakes Royale takes no responsibility for damage caused in transport
B)You are welcome to personally organise transport of your cake to any destination you wish, however this will be at your own risk. Cakes Royale takes no responsibility for damage caused in transport
STORING YOUR ANNIVERSARY CAKE
Q) How do you store the Anniversary cake?
A)Many of our clients choose to keep the top tier of their wedding cake for their first Anniversary. The best way to store this cake is to Follow these steps to keep your cake fresh:
- Remove the decorations from the cake such as the flowers or the topper. Smaller decorations that are made of icing will be fine.
- You will be ready wrap the cake. You will want to completely cover the cake with plastic wrap and make sure that it is airtight.
- Next, you will want to wrap with at least two layers of aluminum foil. The more protection you can give the cake, the less likely it is to taste like freezer burn the next year.
- You can also add to your cake’s protection by placing it in a storage container.
