FAQ's on our Products
How much notice do you require for me to order a cake?
This depends on a number of factors including how many other cakes are booked in already, and how involved/complex your order will be. Generally, we require a minimum of 2 weeks notice - this helps to ensure we have all the supplies, tools and equipment needed to complete your order. However, if your design is to be more complex or have other special requirements, more notice is required. Therefore it’s best to contact us as soon as possible to discuss your order to ensure we are able to assist. If your event is sooner than 2 weeks, please still feel free to contact us as, depending on a number of factors, we may still be able to complete your order.
What flavour cakes and icing are available?
Mud cakes hold up best to the rigors of decorating and have a better shelf life. As such, the bulk of our work is in mud cakes. The flavours we currently offer are Chocolate, White Chocolate and Cherry Ripe Choc Mud. If you have other preferences, please ask and we will do our best to accommodate (and if nothing else, Rebecca's hubby will greatly appreciate assisting with ‘Research and Development’… which is his fancy name for ‘taste testing’!).
Rebecca is currently trialling a range of sponge options and hope to officially add this to her range soon. Cupcakes are currently available in a vanilla or lemon-vanilla flavour with the aim to trial and add chocolate to the range in the near future. We also hope to trial and add fruit cakes to my ranges.
Ganache and sugarpaste is our main method of icing and decorating. It is great for covering cakes that then do not require refrigeration until cut. This is a definite advantage in our climate! We are currently also trialling and practicing with a meringue buttercream which has a lovely velvety smooth texture and suitably sweet (without being sickly) flavour. If you do have other preferences or requirements, please do ask and we’ll be more than happy to accomodate where possible.

- Security Deposits
- To help keep our prices low, rather than charge you for a cake board or box you are unlikely to need again, we have opted to charge an additional $15 security deposit for the cake boards and $5 security deposit for boxes. These deposits, are due at the time of your final payment/collection of your cake, and will be refunded when the cake boards and boxes are returned to us. These security deposits only cover the replacement value of the boards and boxes and do not cover the additional charges we incur in obtaining these items or preparing them for use.
I am happy with your quote – what next?
In order to secure your quoted price, a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. Your booking is not confirmed until this payment is received. A further 25% progress payment is required no less than 1 week prior to your order due date with the balance due at time of collection. Deposit and progress payments can be made via cash or direct bank deposit (in branch or internet transfer). A PayPal account is currently being set up but will incur a 2% surcharge towards the fees charged by PayPal. In order to prevent delays or confusion due to uncleared funds, final payments must be received in cash only.
Do you deliver cake orders?
As Rebecca is the primary carer for her two small children, delivery is something that will need to be negotiated and may not be available in all cases. Where delivery can be negotiated, a fee will be incurred dependant on distance. However, delivery within the Jimboomba estate of Flagstone is FREE.
