“After not having much success with ordinary dowelling jigs and watching your demonstration with more than a little sceptisim, I bought one of your jigs at the 2003 Woodworking Show and have been extremely pleased with it. It has done everything you said it would and I’ve found it one of the handiest woodworking accessories I own.”

I recently used my jig to make a mobile shelving unit for the workshop. To say I was impressed is an understatement, using only the drill, router and your jig, I created an amazing 2 metre high set of mobile shelves. It is perfectly square and as strong as the proverbial you know what.

PS All those testimonials are right, your jig is a bloody marvel.

Dear Des

I bought the DJ68 jig at the 2002 Canberra Wood Show and it has become an important tool in my woodworking toolkit. I used to use the Triton biscuit joiner for all my furniture consruction work but the jig can do so much more, I rarely use the biscuit maker now.

I have just returned from the 2003 Canberra Wood Show where I saw you demonstrate another use for the jig in making angle joints for chairs. The uses for the tool seem endless. You richly deserve the success that this invention brings you.

Regards Chris Sheehan

Des

Several years ago, I came across the Ozzie Jig at a woodworking show. It is not an exageration to say that it has transformed the type and quality of what comes out of my shed. There is something very satisfying about producing a box, table etc with well aligned joints which are strong and neat.

The Ozzie Jig is a tool which is simple to use, once you've mastered the concept of mirror images. Importantly, especially for me, it requires no marking of the job. Being totally blind, marking out is not one of my strenghts.

For anyone who has wanted to produce dowel joints but thought it was too tricky or for anyone who hadn't given the art of dowelling serious thought, I can thoroughly recommend the Ozzie Jig. It has a great deal to offer in terms of accuracy and flexibility. It is also simple to use, you can use it with your eyes shut.

Dear Des Fenelon

I hope you have time to sit down and read this...but I just gotta let you know that you have made another DIY bloke a happy man.

My wife and I purchased a house in the Jervis Bay area some 2 years ago. The house is a weekender and we have been busy creating gardens and building fences for a while now. The house needs some furniture and we have built a side table, bookshelf and a desk. I have done all the construction and my wife is reponsible for the painting and polishing. The pieces are not too bad, we have saved ourself an enormous amount of money by doing the work ourselves and it is fun.

The furniture has always taken me ages to put together (I mean age!!|). I have spent hours checking measurements and working up the courage to cut some very expensive timbers. Not the least of my troubles has been the joinery. Rail to stile, edge to edge, mitre joints etc. Additionally, there is some extra weight in the furniture due to my need to put a hefty screw in here and the odd nail (or two or three) there. Sometimes I have become very frustrated at each job when the edges didn't fit or the piece was not square.

I have only been woodworking for the time we have had the house and we agreed from the outset to purchase all the right tools. Well, we thought we had all the right tools until yesterday when my wife and I visted the Home Ideas and Lifestyle Show at Darling Harbour.

We purchased an Ozzie Multi Jig!!!! Need I say more. Together with the video, there is no holding me back!!

Today I put together a table top from radiata pine using the Ozzie Multi Jig. The first go is near perfect. Edge to edge using the jig - 850 x 450 in 90 minutes, all square with a very nice 45 degree chamfered edge all around using the router. Sanded down to a smooth finish and just waiting for the rails and posts which I have no doubt will be completed when I get home from work tomorrow using the mighty Ozzie Multi Jig. In the past the table top would have taken me 2 days and the rail and post at least 4 to 5 days and the end result would not have looked very pretty.

It is not the speed when using the jig, but the professional finish that I can see myself achieving using this simple tool. No more gaps, no more rails sitting in the post at an angle and joints that will be strong. The furniture in our house is going to be much improved as the result of this very simple invention. I can now sleep at nights and to think that I was close to buying a biscuit jointer for $525.

You little Ozzie beauty.

Kind Regards & Thanks

Malcolm Gibson

Dear Des

Just a short note to say how much I have appreciated your jig. I watched you demonstrate it at the recent Adelaide Woodworking Show and bought it. This would have to rank as one of the best purchases I have ever made. I am a retired dentist and was looking forward to having the time to spend more time with woodworking projects. I have never been able to master the art of predictable mortice and tenon joints which has restricted what I have been able to make to my satisfaction. This situation is now over. Since the JIG I can tackle anything, and have amazed myself at the end results.

Many thanks for your marvellous invention.

Best wishes, you are a wizard.
