Yes, Scrapbooking is putting photos in albums, but it is so much more. For example, using acid-free products, journaling and embellishing the photos to create a story about them. Scrapbooking also involves 'Outside the 12 x 12' or as some people call it 'Off The Page', which consists of things such as canvasses, chipboard books, paper bags and household items.

What do I need?
What you will need as a basic starter kit, is an album, patterned paper, bazzill, mounting squares, and a rotary cutter. This is a very basic kit and of course, as you advance, there are many more extras such as a craft knife, glue, and a variety of different tools. You will then need a tote or trolley to assist you when going for a scrapping session.

What does Acid-free and Lignin-free mean?
Acid-free means paper and paper products that have had the acid removed from the pulp which have a pH of 7.0.
Lignin is a natural component of wood and will break down and become acidic over time.
Therefore, make sure your paper is Acid-free and Lignin-free to ensure the longest possible life for your photos.
